Reformation and more celeb-loved labels dropped early Labor Day clothing and fashion deals

Posted on August 23, 2025

Reformation and several other popular fashion brands have launched early Labor Day sales, offering substantial discounts on clothing and accessories to attract shoppers ahead of the holiday weekend. This move aims to capitalize on consumer spending during the transition from summer to fall seasons.

The sales involve well-known brands such as Reformation, Madewell, Lululemon, J.Crew, and Patagonia, among others. These brands are targeting fashion-conscious consumers looking to update their wardrobes with seasonal staples and deals.

Discounts range from 20% to 70% off on various items, including denim, coats, activewear, shoes, and accessories. For example, Reformation is offering 50% off on clothing, bags, and shoes, while Madewell has an additional 40% off sale items.

The sales are currently active, starting in advance of Labor Day, which falls on September 1, 2025. Many deals are available online and possibly in-store, with promotions running through the holiday weekend or until early September, depending on the retailer.

These early sales are strategically timed to clear out summer inventory and introduce fall collections, leveraging the Labor Day holiday as a key retail event. Retailers aim to drive sales and attract shoppers who are preparing for the new season or seeking end-of-summer bargains.

Promotions are implemented through discount codes, markdowns on sale sections, and exclusive holiday deals. For instance, J.Crew requires code “EXTRA” for up to 70% off, and brands like REI offer up to 75% off without a code.

The impact includes significant savings for consumers on high-quality fashion items, potentially boosting consumer satisfaction and wardrobe updates. For retailers, these sales can increase revenue, manage inventory levels, and enhance brand visibility during a competitive period.

Looking ahead, the sales are expected to continue through Labor Day weekend, with possible extensions or additional last-minute deals. Consumers are advised to shop early for the best selection, as popular items may sell out quickly.
