Celebrity addiction specialist Richard Taite argues that ’16 and Pregnant’ star Whitney Purvis deserves life imprisonment for allegedly distributing lethal drugs that caused John Mark Harris’ death. Purvis was arrested for involuntary manslaughter and drug offenses after Harris fatally overdosed on ‘Tranq’ (fentanyl mixed with horse tranquilizer xylazine) in Georgia. Taite emphasizes that fentanyl dealers should face maximum penalties regardless of celebrity status, noting this case stands out because Purvis is the accused dealer rather than a victim. He warns that Tranq is exceptionally dangerous as overdose-reversal medication Narcan can’t counteract its effects. Taite also condemned Purvis for allegedly causing Harris’ death shortly after losing her own son last month.
